PARISH WORKER EQUIP
Our current project for 2025 is to help resource the team of 411 Parish Workers as they visit families remotely. We hope to equip all with boots and jackets, as well as bicycles for those that need them. Please click the photo for further information.
TAILORING SCHOOL

PARTNER FOR HOPE
Our vision in Tumaini Scotland is to find regular monthly support for 200 Parish Workers who serve orphans and widows within their own community. Please click on the photo if you would like to partner and support them too.

NYAVYONDO SCHOOL
Please click on the photo for a link to a short video about our partnership with the villagers of Nyavyondo, a remote community with no previous access to schooling. The new build school is now complete – we would be delighted to share updates with you.
IPT PSYCHOLOGY
This pioneering work was led by Isaack Kabombo, a Psychology graduate who is now TOSO lead, and supported by a Scottish psychiatrist. Interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) was offered in groups to widows and orphans. Click on the photo to see it’s impact.
MUSHASHA WELLS
Having visited the dry valley of Mushasha, one of our initial projects was to raise funds to sink 3 wells, providing clean water for over 2000 people. A village water committee ensure they are maintained. The community continue to be very grateful.
JOINT TUMAINI PROJECTS
DAFTARI SCHOOL BOOKS
£10 a year can provide the necessary daftari textbooks which students need to be able to stay in school. With currently almost 36,000 orphans supported in secondary school alone, we raise funds with each of our sister charities towards this.
DAIRY GOAT PROJECT
In conjunction with Tumaini Canada, we have donated towards this project which provides a dairy goat to families caring for babies who have been orphaned. As well as providing milk, the goats are bred as a micro-enterpise for the family.
SUSTAINABLE ENTERPRISES
In partnerhsip with Tumaini USA, we are keen to further support TOSO as it continues to become more self sufficient, and as it upscales business opportunities which would further develop this. This project will fund strategic training.
